Encourage Future Leaders to Apply for IASA’s Aspiring Superintendent Academy The opportunity to prepare the next wave of school leaders for the superintendency is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job at IASA. Every year, the IASA Aspiring Superintendent Academy welcomes central office staff, principals and assistant superintendents to Springfield for an immersive learning experience like no other in the state. We engage in numerous simulations, reflect on our role as educators, hear from speakers, conduct mock interviews and learn how to leverage the superintendency to change the lives of students. Applications are now being accepted. I encourage you to share this link with anyone in your district who is considering taking the next step in their careers. The program has proven to be successful. More than 80 participants of IASA’s Aspiring Superintendent Academy have been hired to lead school districts. Still not sure? Here’s a video of past participants discussing their experiences.
