The fiscal year 2024 Site-Based Financial Reporting submission window is now open in IWAS. The data collection period covers two federally required reports: the Site-Based Expenditure Report (SBER) and the School-Level Finance Survey (SLFS). Site-Based Financial Reporting Submission Window Open Site-Based Expenditure Report Districts can submit per-pupil expenditure data in IWAS until Aug. 16. Reports may be edited until Aug. 30. Site based expenditure data will be included on the 2024 Illinois Report Card. Reports must be submitted in IWAS by Nov. 1. However, ISBE can complete SLFS on behalf of most districts that use ISBE’s online tool for Site-Based Expenditure Reporting. IWAS will inform districts of ISBE’s decision upon submission of SBER. Districts that use other methods to prepare SBER will need to separately calculate and submit SLFS. IWAS will provide additional information and a reporting template. Updated FY 2024 resources, including annual reporting guidance and webinars, are now available on the SBER webpage. All questions not addressed in these materials may be directed to site-based@isbe.net. The ISBE team also is available for on-demand office hours throughout the reporting window. Visit calendly.com/site-based to sign up for a 30-minute slot. School-Level Finance Survey
