Professional Development Since ASA launched in July 2016, 240 educators have attended the week-long boot camp. Of that total, roughly 1/3 of participants have been hired as superintendent within five years of attending this academy. IASA’s Aspiring Superintendent Academy welcomed 37 educators to Springfield this week for the opportunity to learn about the modern superintendency. I am extremely proud to be a co presenter alongside Dr. Mike Lubelfeld and Dr. Nick Polyak. Throughout the week, participants will engage in active learning experiences and gain insights about how to be an effective leader. The fast-paced program also features numerous simulations, reflection time and the creation of meaningful artifacts.
