Submitted by Dr. Kimako Patterson, superintendent of Prairie-Hills ESD#144 On Saturday, March 20, 2021 IASA-South Cook joined forces with Prairie-Hills Elementary School District #144 to partner with Walgreens and provide a Johnson & Johnson vaccine clinic at Governors State University. Over 1,500 individuals received a dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Two of the Executive Board Members for IASA-South Cook also attended the event to support the endeavor, Dr. Donna Leak (Superintendent for CCSD #168 and Vice President of the Illinois State Board of Educa- tion) and Dr. Tina Halliman (Superintendent for SPEED #802). It was an absolute pleasure and honor to serve our community and be a part of such a momentous occasion. It is incumbent upon all of us to do our part to make our community, society and this world a better and safer place for everyone.
