Initial Training and Retraining of Teachers
AA #2001 Initial Teacher Evaluation Training: This two-day academy is for educators who are seeking initial training qualification to be legally qualified to conduct evaluations of licensed personnel. The training aligns to the Illinois School Code competencies defined by Admin istrative Code Part 50, Section 50.420 (a-b). It also satisfies the teacher evaluator training requirement for most Principal Prep graduate programs.
AA #3000 Administrator and Teacher Evaluator Retraining for Student Growth: This academy, in combination with AA #1801, meets ISBE’s retraining requirements for teacher evaluators. Participants will learn to use assess ment models to measure student growth attributable to educators, analyze evaluation data to create targeted professional development plans, and communicate outcomes constructively. The program empha sizes collaborative goal-setting.
AA #1801 Teacher Evaluation Retraining: This academy fulfills state requirements for educators who need to re-certify as an evaluator of teachers. Participants will learn effective skills and strategies for using the Danielson Framework in a summative setting. This academy, in combination with AA 3000, satisfies the teacher evaluator retraining requirement.
